Privacy Policy

Effective July 19, 2026

FoliaClient is developed and maintained by WafflyCatt. This policy explains what the website and desktop application handle, where that information is stored, and which external services are contacted.

No ads or analyticsThe website does not include advertising, analytics, or tracking pixels.
Local launcher dataProfiles, settings, snapshots, and content indexes stay on your computer.
Protected sign-inSaved account authorization is stored through Windows Credential Manager.
Direct contactPrivacy questions can be sent to wafflycatt@gmail.com.

The website

The FoliaClient website is static. It has no user accounts, contact form, comments, ads, or built-in analytics, and it does not set first-party tracking cookies.

The hosting provider may keep normal server logs such as IP address, browser information, requested files, timestamps, and download errors. Those logs are controlled by the hosting provider.

The desktop application

FoliaClient stores the files needed to run the launcher on your computer. This may include settings, Minecraft profiles, local paths, installed content indexes, snapshots, and game logs.

When you sign in, FoliaClient receives the Minecraft account information and authorization tokens needed to verify ownership and launch the game. Microsoft passwords are never entered into FoliaClient. Saved authorization is kept through Windows Credential Manager instead of a plain-text settings file.

Minecraft account image

FoliaClient uses MC Heads to display the head from your Minecraft skin. The request includes your public Minecraft profile ID or player name. MC Heads may also receive normal connection information such as your IP address and user agent.

If the image cannot be loaded, FoliaClient uses its own icon instead. This does not affect sign-in or game launch.

External services

  • Microsoft and Minecraft Services for account sign-in, ownership checks, and profile information.
  • Modrinth for browsing and downloading supported mods, resource packs, and shaders.
  • Discord when Discord Rich Presence is enabled.
  • MC Heads for Minecraft skin head images.
  • cdnjs and Font Awesome for the icons used by this website.

These services operate under their own privacy policies and terms.

What FoliaClient does not do

  • Sell personal information.
  • Run advertising or behavioral tracking.
  • Ask for your Microsoft password inside the application.
  • Upload worlds, mods, resource packs, shaders, or launcher profiles to a FoliaClient cloud account.
  • Publish chat, inventory contents, server names, or server addresses through Discord Rich Presence.

Removing local data

Use Settings → Sign out to remove the saved FoliaClient sign-in. The app can also open its data folder so you can review or remove local files. Close FoliaClient before manually deleting that folder.

Updates and repairs are designed to preserve local data. Uninstalling the application may leave that data in place so a later reinstall does not remove profiles or worlds unexpectedly.

Contact

Privacy questions can be sent to wafflycatt@gmail.com. The typical response time is within 96 hours (4 days).

Changes to this policy

This page will be updated if FoliaClient changes how it handles data or begins using additional online services.
